Mobile, AL — A new website, AlongTheAvenue.com, has officially launched, offering the community and visitors an engaging digital hub highlighting the history, culture, and revitalization of Mobile’s historic Avenue corridor.

Developed by Hummingbird Ideas in partnership with the Mobile Arts Council and the Mobile County Commission, the website complements the opening of the Isom Clemon Civil Rights Memorial Park, a landmark space honoring civil rights leaders and the rich legacy of the surrounding neighborhood.

AlongTheAvenue.com serves as a resource for learning about the Avenue’s historical significance, ongoing revitalization efforts, public art, and community programming connected to the corridor. The site aims to preserve stories, promote cultural tourism, and provide updates on future developments tied to the park and surrounding area.

The project is funded by the Mobile County Commission’s American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) allocation, which supports targeted investments in history, arts, education, public facilities, and infrastructure that advance long-term economic recovery and growth.

“This website allows us to extend the experience of the Isom Clemon Civil Rights Memorial Park beyond its physical space,” said Angela Montgomery, Executive Director of the Mobile Arts Council. “AlongTheAvenue.com preserves the stories of this historic corridor, highlights the cultural significance of the Avenue, and creates a platform for continued community engagement and education for generations to come.”

The public is encouraged to explore the site at www.alongtheavenue.com to learn more about the history of the Avenue, the Isom Clemon Civil Rights Memorial Park, and upcoming initiatives in the area.
