Mobile, Ala. — In observance of Independence Day, the City of Mobile will not collect household garbage or roadside trash on Friday, July 4, and the city’s recycling centers will also be closed.

The makeup day for household garbage will be Saturday, July 5. There will be no makeup day for trash. All City services will resume normal operations on Monday, July 7, except for the Pinehill Drive Recycling Center. That facility will be closed for construction until early October.

Mobilians are asked to help spread the word to their neighbors, friends, and community groups. A complete holiday schedule is available at cityofmobile.org/public-works/sanitation-holiday-schedule/.
