Do you have childcare experience? Do you enjoy working with children and creating memorable experiences? Are you naturally enthusiastic, responsible, and ready to lead games, crafts, field trips, and more? If so, you may be the perfect fit for our Summer Camp Counselor position with the Mobile Parks and Recreation Department!

This is a fast-paced, high-energy role leading outdoor activities and helping create memorable summer experiences for camps hosting anywhere from 50–150 children. It’s the perfect opportunity for college students, teachers, and anyone interested in a career in childcare or early childhood education.

Please be advised that preference will be given to applicants who meet one or more of the following qualifications:

• Certified in CPR/AED
• Current or former grade school teachers
• Experience working with children with special needs
• Verified background in childcare
• College students pursuing degrees in Early Childhood Education

Finally, please note that applicants must be at least 18 years old at the time of application.
