Recently in Baldwin County, a potentially deadly house fire resulted in no casualties, not by chance, but by the swift, decisive actions of two Thompson Tractor technicians. Mike Green and Ryan Turner, who also serve as certified firemen, were coincidentally working on machinery in the Volunteer Fire Department parking lot adjacent to the home and immediately responded to the emergency.

When they spotted flames and smoke coming from the house, Mike and Ryan kicked into high gear, promptly shifting from technician to firefighter. Noticing people were still in the home, Mike and Ryan made it a priority to safely get them out of the house and then made a defensive attack to contain the fire as best as possible without their protective gear until more firemen arrived.

“Mike and Ryan were not only in the right place at the right time, they also bravely made the right choice,” shares Lucy Thompson Mar​​sh, Thompson Tractor President and CEO. “Our team is incredibly proud of their prompt intervention that proved critical in ensuring the safe evacuation of residents and the initial containment of the fire.”
