The Chamber’s goal is to ensure voters are informed about candidates committed to supporting job creation, workforce development and a strong, pro-business climate.
The Mobile Chamber does not endorse any specific candidate but is dedicated to equipping our community with valuable resources to stay well informed about the candidates on the ballot. What To Know Before the August 26 Election
- Vote: August 26 Election
The upcoming Municipal Election is scheduled for August 26, 2025, with a run-off election, if needed, set for September 23, 2025. Voters will head to the polls to elect the Mayor and City Council members.
To win outright in any race, a candidate must receive 50% of the vote plus one vote. If no candidate meets that threshold, the top two vote-getters will move on to a run-off election.

As part of the Mobile Chamber’s 2025 Election Guide, we invited each candidate running for mayor of Mobile or Mobile City Council to respond to a series of questions to help inform our members and the public ahead of the August 26 municipal elections. Responses appear as submitted by the candidates. If a candidate did not respond, it is noted as “No response.”

Voter Registration Deadline
The deadline to register to vote in the municipal election is August 11, 2025. Voters needing to register or update their information—such as address changes—should contact the Board of Registrars at (251) 574-8586 to request a voter update form.

- By Mail: Absentee ballot applications must be received no later than August 19, 2025.
- In Person: Applications returned by hand must be received by August 21, 2025.

August 21, 2025: Last day to hand-deliver an absentee application and to vote absentee in person
August 25, 2025: Last day to hand-deliver an absentee ballot and last day to apply and submit an Emergency Absentee Ballot
August 26, 2025: Election Day
September 23, 2025: Runoff election (if necessary)
