Liz Freeman Named Mobile Chamber’s 2026 Freida G. Maisel Businesswoman of the Year
MOBILE, Ala. – The Mobile Chamber recognized Liz Freeman, CEO of Long’s Human Resource Services, as the 2026 Freida G. Maisel Businesswoman of the Year during its 189th Annual Meeting on April 23 at the Mobile Alabama Cruise Terminal.
The award, presented by Louis Maisel, honors a woman who has demonstrated exceptional leadership in her field while making a significant impact on the community.
“Liz represents the kind of steady, servant leadership that helps move a community forward,” said Mobile Chamber President and CEO Bradley Byrne. “Through her work in workforce development and her deep involvement across so many organizations, she’s made a lasting impact on both our business community and the people who call this region home.”
Freeman is a third-generation owner and CEO of Long’s Human Resource Services, a staffing and recruiting firm serving Mobile and Baldwin Counties. A graduate of Vanderbilt University, she has been with the company since 1998 and oversees all business operations.
In addition to her professional leadership, Freeman is actively engaged in the community, serving on multiple advisory and nonprofit boards, including Regions Bank Advisory Board, USA Health Advisory Board, UMS-Wright Preparatory School Board of Trustees, UMS-Wright Foundation Board of Trustees, USA Mitchell College of Business Advisory Council, South Alabama Medical Science Foundation Board and the Dr. Monte L. Moorer Foundation distribution committee.
She is a graduate of Leadership Mobile and Leadership Alabama and previously served as chair of the Mobile Chamber Board of Directors in 2017.
The Freida G. Maisel Businesswoman of the Year Award is presented annually as part of the Mobile Chamber’s Annual Meeting, which brings business and community leaders together to celebrate the region’s progress and recognize outstanding leadership.
