Mobile, Ala. — October 12, 2026 — Gaillard Builders, Inc. (GBI), a Mobile-based commercial and industrial general contractor, will celebrate the grand opening of its new headquarters at 612 Dauphin Street with a ribbon cutting hosted with the Mobile Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, October 15, 2026, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Clients, trade partners, community leaders and members of the media are invited to attend.

GBI renovated the one-story brick building itself. Built in 1940, the structure contributes to the Lower Dauphin Commercial Historic District, which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. PCDA Architecture designed the renovation. Daley Industrial Services, Rowe Plumbing and Irrigation, and Abbott Services completed the electrical, plumbing and mechanical work. The project passed final inspection with the City of Mobile in July 2026.

“We have built for this region for more than twenty years, and we wanted our own home to say what we believe: construction starts with people,” said Peter Gaillard, founder and president of Gaillard Builders. “Restoring a historic building on Dauphin Street, with our own team doing the work, puts our name downtown and our craftsmanship on display for every client who walks through the door.”

GBI delivers design-build, general contracting and construction management services across four markets: industrial and distribution, commercial and office, retail and restaurant, and multifamily. The firm holds contractor licenses in Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee and Texas. Its recent work includes a 261,600-square-foot office and warehouse facility in Theodore.

The new headquarters gives GBI’s growing team a central base for preconstruction, project management and client meetings. The company operates under five core values: Character, Ownership, Adaptable, Commitment, and Excellence with Urgency.
