We are reaching out about an exciting opportunity for students interested in working in manufacturing and industry companies in Baldwin County! In collaboration with Coastal Alabama Community College, AL FAME – Built By Baldwin technical training program is hosting an open house March 3^rd from 4:00pm – 6:00pm. See attached flyer.

FAME is the Federation for Advanced Manufacturing Education (FAME). This is a college accredited manufacturing/industry specific training program. This program provides students with robust technical training through the integration of manufacturing core competencies (safety, workplace organization, LEAN, problem solving and machine reliability), a focus on professional practices (attendance, work ethic, performance) and PAID hands-on experience. The purpose of FAME is to tailor the student experience to the employer’s needs. Thus, students are sponsored by participating employers to work 24 hours per week while attending classroom learning the other 2 days. These students are required to complete over 1800 hours of OJT over their 2-year program. The additional skills and concepts the students are learning in the classroom include PLCs, robotics, AC/DC circuits, precision measurements, industrial wiring, instrumentation and machining. These skills provide them the foundation to develop into well-sought after, solid Advanced Maintenance Technician (AMT) employees after graduation.
