Fairhope teen named 2026 Children’s Miracle Network Champion for USA Health Children’s & Women’s Hospital

FAIRHOPE, Alabama (March 2, 2026) — When JB Bramblett was 18 months old, he suffered severe burns to his hands. His mom, Jenny, rushed him to USA Health Children’s & Women’s Hospital, where a highly skilled team helped calm her fears and care for her little boy. He was hospitalized for 10 days and underwent months of physical therapy to regain full use of his hands.

As a 10-year-old, JB returned to the hospital after a high fever and rash. He was diagnosed with Kawasaki Syndrome, a rare illness that can cause serious heart complications if left untreated. After receiving intravenous therapy and follow-up care from a pediatric cardiologist at USA Health, JB made a full recovery.

Those two experiences have shaped the St. Paul’s Episcopal student who was recently named the 2026 Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Champion for Children’s & Women’s Hospital. Now a middle school student and active athlete, JB and his family credit USA Health’s pediatric specialists for delivering expert, compassionate care during two critical health emergencies.

On Saturday, March 7, he will be officially recognized as the new CMN Champion during opening day ceremonies at Volanta Baseball Park, the place where he learned to pitch and catch. The opening ceremonies are planned for 8 a.m. at the park at 523 Volanta Avenue in Fairhope.

Following the ceremony, through noon, there will be free activities for children, including inflatables, face painting, and community giveaways sponsored by Dick’s House of Sport.

During the year, JB will also participate in fundraising and awareness campaigns alongside Children’s Miracle Network partners, including local businesses, athletic programs, schools, and civic organizations. These collaborations help connect local donors to continue supporting the future health of local children.

For nearly 40 years, Children’s Miracle Network partnerships have raised more than $11 million to support patients and families at Children’s & Women’s Hospital. The Bramblett family, including JB, his parents and sisters, hopes that sharing his story may offer hope to others going through similar circumstances.

“For people who are in the hospital right now,” JB says, “I just want to say we are all in the dugout, rallying for you. Just know that you are loved.”
