Mobile, Ala. — The City of Mobile has released the fifth edition of its annual report, highlighting the work of teams responsible for engineering and infrastructure improvements, planning and zoning, and essential public services that residents depend on every day.

The 2025 report provides a comprehensive look at the efforts of three key departments — Build Mobile, Engineering and Infrastructure, and Public Works — whose work touches everything from new business development and long-range planning to major projects, parks and recreation, and regular public services.

While some of this work is highly visible, other pieces are happening behind the scenes, but all of it is instrumental in driving Mobile forward. From engineering and planning to fleet maintenance and permitting, these teams play a critical role in keeping the city running smoothly and serving Mobilians.

Throughout the 2025 Annual Report, you’ll find highlights and statistics that outline the wide range of services delivered throughout last year. Together, the work of these teams represents a significant and ongoing investment in Mobile’s quality of life and its critical infrastructure.

“The quality of life our residents enjoy and the growth we want to see in Mobile both depend on strong infrastructure, reliable public services, and thoughtful, streamlined development,” Mayor Spiro Cheriogotis said. “From improving our parks, to delivering essential services and supporting new investment, the work highlighted in this report is critical to the kind of city we want to build. I’m grateful to the dedicated men and women across these departments making that work happen every day.”
