Mobile, Ala. — The City of Mobile invites residents to an important discussion on the latest trends in youth violence. The Department of Public Safety and its Community Advisory Panel will host a Town Hall Meeting on Gun Violence at 6 p.m. on April 10 at Revelation Missionary Baptist Church.
This event will provide community members with a platform to engage with city leaders about gun violence, share their concerns, and collaborate on community-driven solutions. Public safety leaders, including Executive Director of Public Safety Rob Lasky and Police Chief William Jackson, will lead the discussion alongside community partners such as Dr. Ashley Williams Hogue from USA Health, Mobile County Health Officer Dr. Kevin Michaels and MCPSS Superintendent Chresal Threadgill.
This town hall will be an excellent opportunity for Mobilians to voice their concerns and learn about local initiatives focused on reducing and preventing gun violence. If you’re a young Mobilian or have teenagers in your family, we encourage you to attend and join the conversation!
