MOBILE, Ala. – To better serve the healthcare needs of residents in Monroeville and beyond, USA Health’s Nathan Tudor, MBA, FACHE, was recently named chief executive officer of Monroe County Hospital.

In 2021, USA Health and Monroe County Hospital entered into a management services agreement related to the hospital in Monroeville and its related ancillary operations.

“Nathan has a long history of successfully serving in rural healthcare settings and brings a wealth of experience and passion to this role,” said Owen Bailey, MSHA, FACHE, chief executive officer of USA Health and senior associate vice president for medical affairs. “His background makes him well-suited to lead Monroe County Hospital into a new era of growth and innovation.”

Tudor has dedicated his career to improving healthcare access and quality in rural communities. “I am thrilled to join the Monroe County Hospital team and to make Monroeville my home,” Tudor said. “I look forward to working closely with the hospital staff, patients, and the entire community to continue advancing the quality of care we provide.”

Tudor earned a Master of Health Administration degree from the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and his MBA from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tennessee. Most recently, he was chief executive officer for the MidCoast Health System in El Campo, Texas, where he was recognized in 2020 with a pioneer award from the Texas Hospital Association. For five consecutive years, he was named to the Becker’s Hospital Review 40 Under 40 list.

As CEO, Tudor is focusing on strengthening Monroe County Hospital’s services, fostering collaboration among the hospital’s dedicated team members, and ensuring the hospital continues to meet the evolving healthcare needs of community residents.

“I believe that the strength of a healthcare system is deeply rooted in its connection to the community it serves,” he said, “and I am committed to ingraining myself in this community.”
