USA Health to host free disability resource fair on Tuesday, Oct. 28

MOBILE, Alabama (10/14/2025) USA Health is offering education and support to families of children with special needs on Tuesday, Oct. 28 during a Disability Resource Fair from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Strada Patient Care Center in the firstfloor lobby.

This fair will provide local resources for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as information and training related to autism, including:

Where to access a medical supply closet for individuals with disabilities;
Services for estate, special needs, and elder care planning;
Parenting classes, after school and summer camp programming for children and youth;
Crisis intervention, support, and referrals to community services for victims of crime;
Resources for speech-generated devices;
Adaptive and accessible physical fitness programs; and
Information, education and connection to resources related to autism.

Agencies participating include: Asher’s Medical Supply Closet; Ashley Day Law; Boys and Girls Club of South Alabama; Mobile Police Department Victim Services; PRC-Saltillo Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC); Ray’s Friends; and the University of South Alabama Regional Autism Network (USARAN).

The USA Health Department of Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics and USARAN host these fairs regularly to educate families about resources available to support their needs.
