USA Health to host free disability resource fair on Tuesday, April 29
MOBILE, Ala. – USA Health is offering education and support to families of children with special needs on Tuesday, April 29 during a Disability Resource Fair from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Strada Patient Care Center in the first-floor lobby.
This fair will offer information about local resources for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, health and developmental support for children, in-patient services at USA Health Children’s & Women’s Hospital, information and training related to autism, and outreach and support for community healthcare.
Agencies participating include: The Arc of Gulf Coast Alabama; Help Me Grow; Lifelines Counseling, USA Health Center for Healthy Communities; Children’s & Women’s Child Life Services; and the University of South Alabama Regional Autism Network (USARAN).
The USA Health Department of Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics and USARAN host these fairs regularly to educate families about resources available to support their needs.
