USA Health expands cardiology care with addition of Mobile Heart Specialists, P.C.
MOBILE, Alabama (4/30/2026) – To improve access to advanced cardiovascular care across the Gulf Coast, USA Health has acquired Mobile Heart Specialists P.C. The practice will continue serving patients under the name Mobile Heart Specialists at USA Health with existing locations in Mobile and Evergreen and will maintain its full range of comprehensive cardiac services for the region.
The cardiology group includes physicians Chad M. Alford, M.D., Noel W. Bedwell, M.D.,
Christopher S. Brown, M.D., Kevin B. DeAndrade, M.D., and W. Dale Hardy, M.D. Together, they offer expertise in general cardiology, interventional procedures, electrophysiology, coronary and peripheral artery disease, and advanced rhythm management, including ablations, implantable defibrillators, and pacemakers. The practice also maintains a full non-invasive diagnostic laboratory.
The group will continue to serve patients at its existing locations, 6701 Airport Blvd., Suite A-107 in Mobile and 100 Lewis St. in Evergreen.

Mobile Heart Specialist Physicians
Kevin B. DeAndrade, M.D. — A native of Mobile, DeAndrade earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry with computer-based honors from the University of Alabama and completed medical school at the University of Alabama School of Medicine. He completed residency at the University of Alabama School of Medicine and fellowship training in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology at Tulane University. He is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and interventional cardiology. He maintains professional memberships with the Medical Association of the State of Alabama and the American Medical Association. He leads the group’s structural heart disease program and serves as the program director for the new USA Health Interventional Cardiology Fellowship Program.
Chad M. Alford, M.D. — Born in Mobile, Alford earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of South Alabama and completed medical school at the Frederick P. Whiddon College of Medicine at USA. He completed residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and fellowship training at the Medical University of South Carolina. He is board certified in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. A Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, he is an active member of the Medical Association of the State of Alabama and the Medical Society of Mobile County. He will also serve as an assistant professor at the Whiddon College of Medicine.
Noel W. Bedwell, M.D. — A native of Tuscaloosa, Bedwell earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and chemistry from the University of Alabama and completed medical school at USA. He completed residency at the University of South Alabama Medical Center and fellowships in cardiovascular disease at Tulane University and cardiac electrophysiology at Case Western Reserve University/University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center. He is board certified in cardiovascular disease. Bedwell is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and maintains active memberships with the Medical Association of the State of Alabama, and the Medical Society of Mobile County. He will serve as an assistant professor at the Whiddon College of Medicine.
Christopher S. Brown, M.D. — Originally from Toronto, Brown earned a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from Rhodes College and completed medical school and residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He completed fellowship training in cardiology at the University of Florida. He is board certified in cardiovascular disease and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He is an active member of the Medical Society of Mobile County and the Medical Association of the State of Alabama. He will serve as an assistant professor at the Whiddon College of Medicine.
W. Dale Hardy, M.D. — A native of Sylacauga, Alabama, Hardy earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and completed medical school and training at USA Health. He also completed a cardiology fellowship at USA Health. He is board certified in cardiovascular disease. A Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, Hardy maintains active membership in the Medical Association of the State of Alabama and the Medical Society of Mobile County. He will serve as an assistant professor at the Whiddon College of Medicine.
