The Mobile Bar Association is Seeking 2024 Liberty Bell Award Nominations

The Mobile Bar Association is seeking nominations for our annual Liberty Bell Award. This award recognizes a non-lawyer member of the community who has contributed to strengthening the effectiveness of the American system of freedom under law. To qualify, the non-lawyer nominee must possess the following qualities:

  1. Promote a better understanding of the Constitution;
  2. Encourage respect for the law and the courts;
  3. Stimulate a deeper sense of individual responsibility;
  4. Contribute to the effective functioning of our government; and/or
  5. 5. Foster a better understanding and appreciation of the rule of law.

We encourage your organization to nominate an individual who you believe best fits the above description. Your organization’s nomination will be considered by committee members from the Mobile Bar Association. Some examples of prior Liberty Bell recipients include distinguished judges, law enforcement officers, community leaders, volunteers, journalists, physicians, educators, and elected officials.

The deadline date for submission is Friday, April 19, 2024. The Liberty Bell Award will be presented to the recipient on Friday, May 10, 2024, at our Membership Luncheon. The Luncheon will be held in person at the Battle House Hotel in the Crystal Ballroom beginning at 11:45 a.m.
