MOBILE, Ala. – Mar 29, 2025 – March 29 is National Vietnam War Veterans Day in the United States. First observed in 2012, it honors the US military members who served during the Vietnam War (1955 – 1975).

The South Alabama Veterans Council will hold the Vietnam War Veterans Day Flag Raising Ceremony in recognition of the 50th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War on Saturday, Mar 29, at USS ALABAMA Battleship Memorial Park, 2703 Battleship Memorial Parkway. The flag raising will honor those Vietnam Veterans who came home, and those who remain Missing in Action or Killed in Action, whose names are listed on the Vietnam Veterans Memorials across America.

The Flag Raising will begin at 7:00 a.m., keynote speaker Col Patrick Downing, US Army, (Retired). The Flag Raising Ceremony is free of charge and the public is invited to attend.
