Michigan-based Dynasty Fab Expands to Chickasaw Marine Terminal
New Facility Brings Advanced Manufacturing to Port of Chickasaw
CHICKASAW, Ala. – Dynasty Fab, a Michigan-based leader in advanced welding and fabrication for the defense, aerospace and automotive sectors, has announced the expansion of its operations to the Chickasaw Marine Terminal in Mobile County. The company will invest $2 million in capital improvements and create 30 new jobs in the initial phase of its growth in Alabama.
“Expanding to Chickasaw is a milestone for Dynasty Fab and a necessary step in our mission to deliver precision fabrication at scale. The Port of Chickasaw gives us access to maritime shipping and a skilled regional workforce, which will allow us to better serve our defense and industrial clients across the Gulf Coast and beyond,” said Zach Jeakle, owner of Dynasty Fab.
Founded in 2017 in a garage workshop, Dynasty Fab has rapidly built a national reputation for innovation, speed and precision, especially in high-performance materials such as titanium. The new Chickasaw facility will mark the company’s first expansion beyond Michigan and will include dock access and large-scale manufacturing capabilities, enabling the company to better serve its maritime and heavy industrial clients.
“This expansion represents a big step forward, not only for Dynasty Fab but for the City of Chickasaw and Mobile County,” said Bradley Byrne, president and CEO of the Mobile Chamber. “This investment strengthens our region’s position as a hub for advanced manufacturing and reflects our momentum in attracting companies that thrive on innovation.”
Their operations will be located in the Chickasaw Marine Terminal, a portion of the former Port of Chickasaw that was acquired by Zarzour Companies in 2023.
“We were excited about the opportunity to bring this area of the Port of Chickasaw back to its former glory. It is a community and area that is rich in history, especially during the early 20th century and into World War 2,” said Matt Zarzour with Zarzour Companies. “The addition of Dynasty Fab, as well as Premium Plate, has validated what we wanted to accomplish. We are grateful to Zach and his team for committing to our facility, as well as this community. This would not have been possible without the full support of the Mobile Chamber and their economic development team.”
The new site positions Dynasty Fab to fabricate and ship oversized components by water, a key advantage for customers in the maritime and defense sectors.
“The City of Chickasaw is very happy to welcome Dynasty Fab to the Port of Chickasaw. This new industry is a result of years of collaboration with stakeholders and the major improvements in our infrastructure. For the citizens, this will be added job opportunities right here at home. We look forward to many years of partnership with this new company and the growth opportunities it brings to our city,” said Chickasaw Mayor Barry Broadhead.
“The Mobile County Commission is delighted that Dynasty Fab is expanding to Chickasaw, a city with a long history as a port and industrial hub. This investment creates new opportunities for local workers and families and is a boon for the city and for North Mobile County,” said Mobile County Commission President Merceria Ludgood, who represents the area.
Operations are expected to begin in August 2025.
