The Mobile Chamber is excited to welcome Laniah Stewart to the team as a communications intern.

Laniah is studying public relations with a minor in communication studies at the University of Alabama. She describes herself as hardworking, caring and goal-oriented.

Laniah said she was interested in interning with the Chamber because she wanted to become more connected to the community while gaining hands-on experience in her field. “I wanted to learn firsthand how the Chamber supports local businesses and helps make our city a better place,” she said.

During her internship, Laniah is most excited about helping the Chamber create social media content and enhance its website.

After graduation, she hopes to build a career in communications or public relations within the nonprofit or government sector.

Outside of work and school, Laniah enjoys solving word searches, reading and spending time with family and friends.

When she is looking for a local treat, two of her favorite stops are Mo’Bay Beignet Co. and Pollman’s Bake Shops.
