The new year started off with a big event for MCPSS eighth-graders and their families: The Signature Academy Showcase on January 6 at the USA Mitchell Center. Did you know that students living anywhere within the Mobile County Public Schools district may apply to enroll in any of our 12 Signature Academies? Each academy offers multiple career paths and career-ready opportunities, including paid and unpaid internships, job shadowing, workplace tours and worksite training.

The Signature Academy application portal has opened on the mcpss.com website. The deadline to apply is February 9.

At the Signature Academy Showcase, visitors browsed among the 12 high school booths to learn about the wide variety of academic pathways available. Representatives from other academic divisions, including JROTC, the Academy of Virtual Learning, and Faulkner and Bryant Career Tech Centers, were also on hand to greet MCPSS families.
