BILOXI, Miss. — Keesler Federal Credit Union has launched a new First Responder Appreciation Loan Program offering 1% off approved rates on consumer loans to members who are or have been active, volunteer, and retired first responders.

The 1% loan discount applies to all consumer loans except Kreditline, Certificate or Share Secure Loans, Lenders Protection loans, HELOCs, and credit cards. Other discounts or promotional rates do not apply. This discount loan program joins Keesler Federal’s  Military Appreciation Loan Program announced on Veterans Day, as a permanent member benefit.

Eligible first responders will include those employed by law enforcement, fire departments, EMS, or others who have received specialized training to assist at the scene of an emergency, accident, natural disaster, or terrorism. Retirees and spouses of first responders, along with volunteer first responders (firefighters, etc.), are also eligible for this promotion.

Additionally, Keesler Federal Mortgage Services is offering a First Responder Lender Credit of up to $1,200. The member will not receive the 1% off the loan, but a lender credit up to $1,200.
