MOBILE, Ala.  – In recognition of a career defined by excellence, integrity and transformative leadership, John White-Spunner, Founder, President and CEO of White-Spunner Construction, has been inducted into the Alabama Construction Hall of Fame by the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Alabama. The induction ceremony, held on Thursday, April 17, celebrated White-Spunner’s more than four decades of impact on the construction industry in Alabama and nationally.

Established in 1981, White-Spunner Construction has flourished under John’s leadership, growing from a regional general contracting firm into a nationally recognized powerhouse. With projects spanning 28 states and touching nearly every market sector—from large-scale infrastructure to healthcare, education, retail and warehousing facilities—White-Spunner Construction is known not only for its operational excellence, but also for its uncompromising commitment to safety, quality and client service.

“Under John’s leadership, White-Spunner Construction has grown into a company that sets the standard for excellence across the country,” said Jeff Carrico, Chief Operations Officer at White-Spunner Construction. “His vision and direction have been instrumental in expanding our reach, strengthening client relationships and shaping the way we build.”

White-Spunner’s portfolio includes some of the most iconic and complex construction efforts in the region and major developments for global brands. His company’s reputation for delivering challenging projects on time and with exceptional craftsmanship has earned him the trust of Fortune 100 and 500 clients, many of whom return time and again.

“I’m not surprised that John would be honored,” said City of Mobile Mayor Sandy Stimpson. “Yes, I think it has to do with the quality of his work, but it probably has more to do with his character. He’s going to do the right thing, for the right reason, all the time. It’s just that simple.”

A Mobile native, John’s influence extends far beyond construction. He is a steadfast community advocate and servant leader, actively involved in Resurrection Church, Outback America and Gideons International, while also supporting organizations like Our Little Roses in Honduras, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Prodisee Pantry and the Boys and Girls Club. He lends his leadership and vision to numerous boards, including the Bedsole Foundation, Infirmary Health Foundation and Bishop State Community College Foundation.
