This year’s holiday theme focuses on Santa Claus and his reindeer for the first time

MOBILE, AL – Goodwill Gulf Coast is kicking off the holiday season with the debut of its 2026 “Christmas on the Coast” ornaments for Mobile and Pensacola, both of which feature Santa Claus and his reindeer for the first time in the 30-year series’ history.

These limited edition, gold-plated ornaments have become treasured collector’s items for many Gulf Coast residents over the past three decades. This year’s ornaments will be available beginning Monday, November 2 at Goodwill Gulf Coast stores, participating vendors, and via GGC’s website.

Proceeds from ornament sales support Goodwill Gulf Coast programs and services that help educate, train and employ thousands of individuals with disabilities and other barriers to success each year. Services include job training and placement, as well as support programs for youth and parents.

This year’s Mobile ornament captures the magic of Christmas as Santa Claus and his reindeer soar across the night sky above the familiar Mobile skyline. The ornament highlights the city’s historic architecture and festive holiday lights, creating a scene that celebrates both the wonder of Christmas and the unique character of Mobile.

The Pensacola ornament features Santa Claus and his sleigh flying over Pensacola Beach, past the iconic Pensacola Beach water tower. Originally built as a water storage tank, the tower’s distinctive spherical shape and colorful beach-ball design – added in 2012 – have made it one of the Gulf Coast’s most recognizable landmarks.

In addition, for the first time, “Christmas on the Coast” ornaments issued from 1994 through 2023 will be available at half their original price – just $10 each – this holiday season. “Now is the perfect time to complete your collection or pick up the ornament you’ve always wanted,” Barry Reed, Jr., President and CEO of Goodwill Gulf Coast, said. Collectors can view and purchase these ornaments through Goodwill Gulf Coast’s online ornament store at goodwillgulfcoast.org/shop/christmas-ornaments/.

The 2026 ornaments will be available at Goodwill Gulf Coast retail stores and select vendors in the Mobile and Pensacola areas, as well as online. The 2026 ornaments are $20 each, with all proceeds supporting Goodwill Gulf Coast’s programs and services.

Pensacola-area vendors are: Beré Jewelers; Joe Patti’s Seafood; J.W. Renfroe Pecan Company; Members First Credit Union; and the Goodwill stores in Pensacola, Pace, Ensley, and Fort Walton Beach.
