DAPHNE, Ala. (January 22, 2024) – Arthritis is extremely common. Experts estimate that more than one-third of Americans have some degree of arthritis in their joints.

The public is invited to learn more about non-surgical pain relief options for arthritic pain by attending a complimentary lunch & learn, hosted by the James P. Nix Senior Center, featuring Dr. Keith Spain, fellowship-trained non-surgical sports medicine specialist with Baldwin Bone & Joint. Spain’s talk is entitled, “Non-Surgical Treatment Options for Relief of Pain from Arthritis.”

Spain is board-certified in Family Medicine and holds a certificate of added qualification in sports medicine. His specialty is the non-surgical treatment of orthopaedic injuries and medical conditions in athletes of all ages and abilities. He has a particular interest in diagnostic and interventional musculoskeletal ultrasound, minimally invasive procedures, and regenerative medicine.

Taking a non-surgical approach, he provides treatment options for pain relief associated with everything from arthritis, tendinitis, and fractures, to sports-related injuries and other medical and musculoskeletal ailments.

Spain is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, and the current President of the Baldwin County Medical Society.
