Great Day Latte was born from a passion for community, culture, and wellness. More than just a coffee shop, it’s a space designed for connection, empowerment, and growth. Our mission extends beyond great coffee—we are committed to fostering economic empowerment, mental health awareness, and literacy initiatives, particularly within the African American community.

What is the most valuable lesson you’ve learned as a business owner?

Success is built on relationships. Community support, strategic partnerships, and authentic engagement are just as important as revenue. Staying true to our values while remaining adaptable has been key to our growth.

How does your business engage with and contribute to the local community?

Great Day Latte actively invests in the well-being of our community. We collaborate with local artists, entrepreneurs, and organizations to create economic opportunities and amplify Black voices. Through our initiatives, we aim to make a lasting impact beyond our doors.

What does Black History Month mean to you, and how do you celebrate it as a business owner?

Black History Month is a time for reflection, celebration, and action. It reminds us of our resilience, contributions, and the responsibility to build generational wealth and opportunities. At Great Day Latte, we celebrate by highlighting local Black artists, hosting discussions on economic empowerment, and curating cultural experiences that honor our heritage.

What advice would you give to aspiring minority entrepreneurs?

Start with purpose and move with strategy. Build a strong network, seek mentorship, and don’t hesitate to ask for resources.
