MOBILE, Ala. – With the safety of students and fans always being paramount, Catholic high schools in the Archdiocese of Mobile will implement a clear bag policy at sporting events beginning with the 2025-26 school year.

All bags brought into a stadium or gym must be clear, although there are no size restrictions. The move is a proactive step and not in response to any incident.

There are three Catholic high schools in the Archdiocese of Mobile – McGill-Toolen Catholic High School in Mobile, St. Michael Catholic High School in Fairhope and Montgomery Catholic Preparatory School in Montgomery.

Clear bag policies have become common at venues across the U.S. Mobile County, Baldwin County and Montgomery County Public Schools are among those that have or will implement a clear bag policy this year.

Along with the new clear bag policy, there will be no re-admittance to Catholic high school sporting events and no admittance once the third quarter begins.
