BALDWIN BONE & JOINT & ALLISON HUNTER, M.D., FELLOWSHIP-TRAINED HAND, ELBOW, UPPER EXTREMITY SURGEON ANNOUNCE EXPANSION OF TEAM IN RESPONSE TO PATIENT CARE NEEDS
Daphne, Ala. – Daphne, Al-based Bone & Joint is pleased to announce the addition of Taylor Lewis, Occupational Therapist, to its team of hand, elbow, upper extremity specialists.
With more than a decade of clinical experience and seven years working in hand therapy, Lewis joins Baldwin Bone & Joint and Dr. Allison Hunter, fellowship-trained hand and upper extremity surgeon and her dedicated team of specialists. The team now includes two occupational therapists and a physician assistant, treating patients with injuries and conditions from the shoulders to the fingertips.
Lewis joins Baldwin Bone & Joint after practicing in Mobile, where he has evaluated and treated patients with varying degrees of hand, upper extremity, and various orthopaedic issues since 2017. He is skilled in splint making and has worked with patients of all ages from children to adults including performance athletes.
“I strive to provide my patients with a positive environment,” said Lewis. “Having a good attitude is so important for rehabilitation and the healing process. I want my patients to know that I am their advocate during their healing journey.”
Lewis holds a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Belmont University in Nashville, Tenn., and licenses from the Alabama Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy and the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy. He has extensive leadership training and experience including serving as a sergeant in the United States Army National Guard.
