Mobile, Ala. (May 27, 2026) – Oak View Group (OVG), today announced the selection of Genevieve Young, CVP as Sales Director to grow the private events business at The Arthur R. Outlaw Mobile Convention Center.

“Genevieve brings a strong blend of marketing experience, proven sales performance, and industry expertise that will be instrumental as we continue to grow the Mobile Convention Center. Her leadership will help us expand our reach in the events market while delivering exceptional experiences for our clients and visitors,” said Matthew Bryant, General Manager, Mobile Convention Center.

Young most recently served as Senior Sales and Marketing Manager for the Durham Convention Center in North Carolina. Prior to that, she held the role of Sales and Marketing Manager after beginning her career with Oak View Group in March 2022 as an Event Manager at the Durham Convention Center. During her tenure in North Carolina, she automated internal processes, led execution of marketing strategy, contributed to record-setting revenue performance, and worked closely with the CVB to drive new business.

During her prior role at Oak View Group, she also worked as Integrated Marketing Manager for United States Disc Golf where she led marketing strategy for the U.S. Disc Golf Championship including broadcast and photography team management, influencer strategy, digital ad purchasing, and public relations. Young worked with Innova Disc Golf as marketing manager from January 2019 to October 2021.

In addition to her over 8 years of event and marketing experience, Young earned the Certified Venue Professional credential from the International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM), which recognizes the competence of middle to senior-level managers of event venues. She has also completed IAVM’s Venue Management School and received the Strategic Insights Award from Oak View Group’s marketing department.
