Calvert, AL – ArcelorMittal Calvert is proud to announce its selection as the 2025 Large Manufacturer of the Year, an honor presented by the Business Council of Alabama (BCA), Alabama Technology Network (ATN), and Manufacture Alabama. The award was announced during the annual Manufacturer of the Year (MOTY) ceremony held in Montgomery on National Manufacturing Day, recognizing excellence in leadership, performance, workforce development, and community impact.

ArcelorMittal Calvert, located just north of Mobile, is one of the most advanced steel finishing facilities in the world. With a state-of-the-art steelmaking facility, cutting-edge hot and cold mills, galvanizing lines, and a river terminal, the plant produces a wide range of steel products—from hot-rolled bands to advanced high-strength steels—serving industries such as automotive, construction, and energy.

Celebrating over 25 years, the Manufacturer of the Year awards have become a hallmark event, recognizing small, medium, large, and emerging businesses. ArcelorMittal Calvert was selected in the large category for its outstanding achievements in customer focus, employee engagement, operational excellence, and investment in community, training and development.

The award ceremony featured keynote speaker Greg Reed, Secretary of the Department of Workforce for the State of Alabama, and brought together dignitaries and industry leaders to celebrate the contributions of manufacturers across the state.
