The Springhill Medical Center Medical Staff elected officers at its recent Annual Meeting. The 2024-25 officers are:
• Dr. Lauren Self (Azalea City Physicians for Women) — President/Chairman Med Exec
• Dr. Campbell Sindel (Pulmonary Associates) — Vice President
• Dr. Steven Hyde (SMC Hospitalist) — Secretary
Committee Chairmen also were appointed as follows: Surgery Committee – Dr. Timothy Mansour; Medicine Committee – Dr. Campbell Sindel; OB/GYN Committee – Dr. Margaret Krueger; Pharmacy & Therapeutics – Dr. Steven Sprayberry; Radiation Safety – Dr. Donald Wagnon; Utilization Review/HIM – Dr. Liston Jones; ED Committee – Dr. Michael Bindon.
Springhill Medical Center is a 270-bed acute care hospital accredited by The Joint Commission. Since 1975, Springhill has grown and expanded its services in the southwest Alabama market while maintaining more nurses to each patient for a personal approach. The medical center provides full surgical capabilities including open-heart and robotic surgery, as well as complete diagnostic capabilities.
