Milton, FL (October 20, 2026)— Eleven days since Hurricane Isaias made landfall, Feeding the Gulf Coast has distributed more than 1.4 million pounds of emergency food, water and essential supplies to communities affected by the storm. As families across the Florida Panhandle and South Alabama face damaged homes, limited access to food, and mounting recovery costs, Feeding the Gulf Coast continues delivering critical food assistance alongside its partners
“For families facing storm damage, lost income, and mounting recovery costs, access to food cannot wait,” said Michael Ledger, president and CEO of Feeding the Gulf Coast. “Distributing more than 1.4 million pounds in just over a week reflects the commitment of our team, partners, and supporters. But the need continues, and additional financial support is critical to keeping food moving to communities throughout recovery.”
Feeding the Gulf Coast continues coordinating its food assistance response with local and state emergency management agencies, Feeding America, Feeding Florida, Feeding Alabama, and its network of community partners. Emergency distributions remain underway, including in rural and hard-to-reach communities.
Financial donations are critical to sustaining emergency distributions and responding to changing food assistance needs. Contributions to Feeding the Gulf Coast’s Hurricane Isaias Relief Fund help provide food, water, and essential supplies for families facing the challenging recovery ahead.
