Sound of Mobile Re-Brands ‘The Soul’ to ‘The BANDIT’
MOBILE, AL – DotCom Plus / Sound of Mobile on August 10th, 2026 The Sound of Mobile is proud to announce the format change of 92.5 The Soul into 92.5 The BANDIT. The format will reflect a change from classic R&B hits into
a classic-country focused station.
The launch of the new format occurred at 10 a.m. on Monday morning. The BANDIT is Mobile’s Home for Country Legends! The new format will highlight artists such as Alabama, Garth Brooks, Hank Williams Jr., George Strait, Dolly Parton, Reba McEntire, and Alan Jackson. An official launch party will take place Thursday, August the 27th at Cedar Street Social Club from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. emceed by Matt McCoy with live music from local-country duo Bri and Brian.
