Wilkins Miller, an accounting and advisory firm with offices in Mobile and Fairhope, is pleased to announce that Scott Browning, CPA, MTA, has been appointed as the Chairman of the Alabama Federal & State Tax Institute and Michael Kintz, CPA has been appointed as the Chairman of the Alabama Board of Public Accountancy.

With almost 30 years of experience in public accounting, Browning brings a wealth of expertise and leadership to this role. As Wilkins Miller’s tax director, he specializes in federal and multi-state tax compliance and planning for corporations, partnerships, individuals, and trusts. In his new role, Browning will oversee the Institute’s mission to provide high-quality education and professional development opportunities for tax professionals across Alabama.

Additionally, Kintz has been appointed as the chairman of the Alabama Board of Public Accountancy. Throughout his 35-year career, Kintz has demonstrated exceptional leadership and proficiency in financial reporting, assurance, and consulting in the outsourced accounting services area. As chairman, he will play a vital role in regulating the accounting profession in Alabama, ensuring that practitioners adhere to the highest standards of competence and integrity.
