Mobile County Public School System Presents the Signature Academy Showcase
The business community is invited to the Mobile County Public School System’s Signature Academy Showcase on Tuesday, January 9, at the USA Mitchell Center from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Business leaders will join MCPSS middle school students and their parents to learn about the different career academies offered in 12 MCPSS high schools.
Teachers and students from each high school will be available to answer questions and to talk about their specific programs. Representatives of various career and technical education programs will be available as well.
As a nationally recognized school-choice model, the MCPSS Signature Academies are specialized learning communities that prepare students for high-wage, high-demand jobs available in Mobile County.
Any MCPSS eighth-grader (or ninth-grader at Barton Academy) may apply to enroll in any of the Signature Academies, based on his or her interest.
Each academy offers multiple career paths, allowing students to earn career credentials and/or college credit. The academy focuses range from healthcare to engineering, from aerospace to coastal studies, and more.
