MOBILE, Ala. – Wilkins Miller, an accounting and advisory firm with offices in Mobile and Fairhope, is pleased to announce that Allen Carroll, CPA/ABV, CFF, CVA, managing partner of the firm, was elected Chairman of the Alabama Securities Commission (ASC) by a unanimous vote of his fellow commissioners.

Chairman Carroll is currently serving his second term on the Commission after being recommended by the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants and confirmed by the Alabama Senate on April 11, 2024.

“I am pleased that Allen will be assuming this leadership role on the Commission. His prior experience as a commissioner and his knowledge of the industry are invaluable resources to the ASC’s work of protecting investors from fraud and preserving legitimate markets in Alabama,” said ASC Director Amanda Senn.

In accepting the appointment, Carroll said, “I’m honored that my colleagues have selected me to serve in this role on the Commission. I look forward to working closely with them and the ASC staff as we endeavor to administer effective regulation and enforce Alabama’s securities laws.”

Carroll graduated from the University of South Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. He is a Certified Public Accountant, a member of the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants and the Alabama Society of CPAs. He is Accredited in Business Valuation, Certified in Financial Forensics by the American Institute of CPAs and is a Certified Valuation Analyst. Carroll’s experience is vast ranging from litigation and consulting services to traditional tax and accounting services in a variety of industries.
