ALABAMA ORTHOPAEDIC CLINIC, P.C. INTRODUCES BARRY PORTER AS CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Mobile, Ala. – Alabama Orthopaedic Clinic, P.C. is pleased to announce Barry Porter as the group’s chief executive officer (CEO). Porter brings nearly 20 years healthcare leadership experience in startup and growth strategy, ranging from private practice to service line administration. He is an experienced executive, educator, and researcher in the field of medical practice and healthcare policy.
We are thrilled to welcome Barry Porter as the new CEO of Alabama Orthopaedic Clinic. With his extensive executive experience in the medical field, we are confident that he will be a tremendous asset to our team. We eagerly anticipate the innovation and leadership he will bring to our organization.

Porter has served in several c-level and administrative roles in Mobile healthcare landscape. Some of his prior roles include director of operations for emergency medicine and radiology at USA Health, director of population health, chief operating officer (COO) for two different practices, as well as practice executive. In his near 20 years of healthcare, he has contributed to research, teaching, and served in consulting roles to several Mobile businesses. He is the founder and principal of two consulting ventures focused on providing data analytics and efficiency modeling to clients.
Porter holds a BS in Psychology from Spring Hill College, an MBA and doctorate from the University of South Alabama. He received Lean Six Sigma training and certification from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. He is a strong supporter of various non-profit agencies with a solid track record in volunteerism and service to the community.
