Mobile Chamber Announces New Hires and Staff Promotions
MOBILE, Ala. – The Mobile Chamber has announced new hires, staff promotions and internal team updates as the organization continues strengthening its work in economic development, member service, communications and advocacy.
NEW HIRES
Veronika Miranda has joined the Chamber as the economic development coordinator. In her role, Miranda will provide administrative support across the department’s business development, existing industry, workforce development and talent attraction programs, coordinate meetings and events, manage social media content, maintain departmental records and support board administration for the Industrial Development Board, Industrial Development Authority and Industrial Park Board. Miranda comes to the Chamber from the Renaissance Hotels of Mobile.
“I was drawn to the Chamber after being involved with the Young Professionals of Mobile for the last several years,” Miranda said. “YP has helped show me what I’m passionate about: Mobile and the community I’ve grown to love as a transplant from Gulfport. I’m excited to be a part of Mobile’s economic development, and I look forward to contributing my organizational skills and attention to detail. I’m eager to grow my expertise and continue working with the team here.”
John Adams has joined the Mobile Chamber’s economic development team as a business development specialist. In this role, Adams will support the Chamber’s business attraction, expansion and retention efforts through economic research, market intelligence, workforce analysis, GIS mapping and strategic project support. Adams will also manage and maintain key economic development data resources and provide data-driven insights to support business recruitment and investment decisions.
Prior to joining the Mobile Chamber, he interned with the Economic Development Partnership of Alabama and worked with the Alabama Experience truck, where he supported statewide economic development and workforce initiatives. He earned a Bachelor of Science in agricultural business and economics from Auburn University and a master’s degree in economic development from the University of Southern Mississippi.
“After researching the economic growth taking place across the state, Mobile quickly stood out. With the incredible momentum and investment occurring throughout the region, I knew the Mobile Chamber was where I wanted to be,” said Adams. “Over the past several years, Mobile has emerged as one of the Southeast’s most exciting economic development success stories, attracting significant investment across a number of major industries, including aerospace, advanced manufacturing, maritime commerce and technology. With industry-leading projects, numerous expanding industries and continued investment in infrastructure, Mobile is well positioned for even greater success in the years ahead, and I knew that was something I wanted to be a part of.”
