Mobile, Ala. – Once upon a time… Saturday plans just got a lot better.

Junior League of Mobile (JLM) invites local families to attend Storybook Saturday, a special community event designed to put books directly into the hands of children and spark a lifelong love of reading.

Taking place on April 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 57 N. Sage Avenue, this drive-through event allows families to conveniently pick up free books for children in kindergarten through 7th grade—no need to leave the car.

Storybook Saturday reflects JLM’s commitment to supporting literacy and empowering young minds. By providing access to books, the organization hopes to encourage children to dream big, imagine boldly, and read often.

“Every child deserves the opportunity to explore new worlds through reading,” said Johanna Thompson, JLM President. “Storybook Saturday is a simple but meaningful way we can support families and help foster a love of books in our community.”

Families are encouraged to stop by, pick up books, and help their children begin a new adventure—no fairy godmother required.
