Castle Technology Partners Releases Gulf Coast Cybersecurity Index 2026 to Strengthen Local Business Resilience

Mobile, Alabama — Tuesday, March 3, 2026 — Castle Technology Partners announced the release of the Gulf Coast Cybersecurity Index 2026, a regional benchmark built to help business leaders in Mobile and Baldwin Counties better understand today’s cybersecurity
risk landscape.

As part of this initiative, Castle Technology Partners assessed 1,000 businesses (500 in Mobile County and 500 in Baldwin County) using publicly observable cybersecurity indicators, including:
– SSL/TLS encryption
– SPF email authentication records
– DMARC policy configuration
– Security header implementation
– Dark web exposure indicators

To protect privacy and promote constructive action, findings are presented only in aggregate and do not identify or publish individual business names.

“Our goal is simple: help Gulf Coast businesses make informed, practical decisions to reduce risk,” said Kate Wagner, Owner of Castle Technology Partners. “This is a community-first effort to raise awareness and improve digital resilience across the region.”

The Gulf Coast Cybersecurity Index is intended as a philanthropic awareness resource to support proactive cybersecurity planning among local organizations of all sizes.
