Mobile Arts Council Announces Five: Art Competition for Local College Students
Mobile, AL – The Mobile Arts Council (MAC) is delighted to sponsor the biennial Five show, a juried art competition including work from the five area colleges and universities – Bishop State Community College, Coastal Alabama Community College, Spring Hill College, University of Mobile, and University of South Alabama. Three monetary prizes will be awarded.
Open to all students enrolled during any part of the 2025-2026 academic year, participants may submit up to three pieces created while attending their current school. To enter, this online form must be completed by 11:59 p.m. on Friday, March 13, 2026. Any student may participate. Admission is not limited to art majors. There is a $25.00 admission fee for up to three pieces. That fee includes a one-year Artist Membership in the Mobile Arts Council, a $45.00 value. The Five art exhibit will hang in the MAC Gallery, Room 1927 at 6 South Joachim Street in Mobile from April 2 through April 30, 2026. A public reception will be held during the LoDa Artwalk on April 10, where a Best of Show, Second Place, Third Place, and three Honorable Mention prizes will be awarded.
