Operation Clean Sweep scheduled for Dec. 6 postponed until Dec. 13
| WHAT? | Mobile County’s final Operation Clean Sweep of 2025, scheduled for Dec. 6, has been postponed to Dec. 13.
| WHY? | The change is because this week’s rainfall has made ground conditions at the collection site too muddy to accommodate vehicles.
| WHEN? | NEW DATE: Saturday, Dec. 13, from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
| WHERE? | 7195 Half Mile Rd., Irvington
| WHAT ELSE? | Mobile County’s Department of Environmental Enforcement annually hosts spring and fall Operation Clean Sweep events in different parts of the county. These events allow Mobile County residents to gather and dispose of unwanted household items and yard debris FOR FREE.
Operation Clean Sweep events help make Mobile County a cleaner place to live, work, learn, play, and visit by properly recycling or disposing of household discards and yard debris. Recyclable items collected include tires, electronics, and scrap metal.
