What were the two biggest choices that got you to where you are today?

1. Following my mother’s advice to take JROTC courses in high school.  I gained confidence in leadership.
2. Marrying the “love of my life” Joyce.

What is one thing you wish you had more time to do? Work in my yard.

What are the best qualities you think you inherited from your parents? Faith in God and perseverance.

Podcasts or music while driving? Sports Talk Radio stations.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given? Failure only occurs when you stop trying. Failure is learning.

What has been the highlight of your past year?

I’ve had an amazing year!

• Completing four wonderful years as Tuscaloosa County’s License Commissioner
• Beginning my current journey as Executive Director
• Relocating to the eastern shore.  The welcome has been amazing.

What is your favorite Olympic event? Men’s and Women’s Track & Field. 

What is one rule you live by? “Do not listen to respond.  Rather, listen to understand.”

What national/international event had the most impact on your life? Without question, September 11, 2001.

What sports did you play growing up? Football and basketball.

What are you most excited about for the future? USS ALABAMA Battleship Memorial Park recently celebrated its 60^th anniversary.  We have an exciting future on the horizon!
