Growing with Baldwin County: Cardiology Associates Adds Two Cardiologists to Its Team

Mobile, AL – March 19, 2024 – Cardiology Associates is pleased to announce the addition of two experienced interventional cardiologists, Htin Aung, M.D., FACC, and Howard Brazil, M.D., FACC, to their team serving Baldwin County.
Dr. Htin Aung joins Cardiology Associates from Springfield, Missouri, where he served as Medical Director of Structural Heart Disease at Mercy Heart Hospital and Clinics. He completed his internal medicine residency and fellowship training in cardiovascular diseases, interventional and structural cardiology at the Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education in Rochester, Minnesota. He earned his medical degree from The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas.

Dr. Howard L. Brazil joins the practice from Montgomery, Alabama with 28 years of experience. He completed his fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at the University of Louisville Department of Medicine in Louisville, Kentucky and his internal medicine residency and internship were completed at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina. Dr. Brazil earned his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in chemistry from Birmingham-Southern College.

Both Dr. Aung and Dr. Brazil are now seeing patients at Cardiology Associates’ offices in Fairhope and Foley, Alabama, as well as providing hospital-based care at Thomas Hospital and Baldwin Health.
