PNC BANK BECOMES PRESENTING SPONSOR OF THE AZALEA TRAIL RUN
MOBILE, Ala. – The Port City Pacers (PCP) announced today that PNC Bank will become the Presenting Sponsor of the nationally acclaimed Azalea Trail Run as part of a multi-year sponsorship agreement. PNC Bank also will become the Official Bank of the longtime Mobile-based club and serve as a supporting sponsor for all the PCP races throughout the year.
“PNC Bank is proud to be a trusted banking partner for many Mobilians,” said Rusty Shaw, PNC regional president for the Gulf Coast. “We couldn’t be more excited to build on that with this new sponsorship of the Port City Pacers and an iconic event like the Azalea Trail Run.”
Since the first Azalea Trail Run in 1978, the event has continued to welcome runners, walkers and wheelchair athletes annually. The 47th running of the Azalea Trail Run Presented by PNC Bank will take place the morning of March 22, 2025. All three running/walking events – 10K, 5K and 2K fun run – will start and finish near Mardi Gras Park in downtown Mobile.
“We are grateful for the support of PNC Bank for the annual slate of Port City Pacers races, especially the Azalea Trail Run,” said Peggy Olive, ATR 2025 Race director. “This sponsorship will help us continue our mission to promote good health and fitness through running and walking activities while providing community friendly running/walking events. We look forward to the good things to come in 2025.”
