MOBILE, Ala. – Mobile Ballet is set to bring holiday wonder to downtown Mobile for all ages, presenting the beloved tradition of The Nutcracker at the historic Saenger Theatre for the first time, as well as a delightful Nutcracker Holiday Brunch for the whole family at Dauphin’s Restaurant.

Mobile Ballet’s Nutcracker: A New Stage for a Timeless Classic

Artistic Director Katia Garza creates a breathtaking production of the classic Nutcracker, elevating the artistry of this holiday favorite for all ages.  After over three decades at the Civic Center Theater, Mobile Ballet’s Nutcracker will grace the historic Saenger Theatre stage this year for the first time, adding a new layer of magic to this beloved ballet.

Exceptional guest artists will join the Mobile Ballet Company and students, bringing to life the fantastical world of dancing sugar plums, battling toy soldiers, the heroic nutcracker prince, and the menacing mouse king.  Guests include Dayesi Torriente and Arian Molina Soca of Philadelphia Ballet, Aidan Carrasquel of Ballet San Antonio, Daniel Benavides formerly of Orlando Ballet, and Elias Re of Dance Theatre of Harlem.

Ticket prices for The Nutcracker range from $25 to $69, with discounts available for children, students, seniors, and military. Group rates available for parties of 10 or more.

A mini-season ticket package is also available, offering savings on seats for both The Nutcracker and the upcoming Princess and the Frog production, which will be performed at the Saenger on March 29-30.

Special Event: Nutcracker Holiday Brunch at Dauphin’s

Mobile Ballet will hold its second annual Nutcracker Holiday Brunch on Saturday, December 21.  Dauphin’s – recently named Alabama’s Most Beautiful Restaurant by MSN – provides a stunning venue for this unique Nutcracker-themed experience, overlooking downtown Mobile on the 34th floor of the RSA Trustmark building.  Guests will enjoy a delicious brunch and breathtaking views, interact with characters from the ballet, hear the Nutcracker story, and create a cherished holiday memory for the whole family.

Date & Time: Saturday, December 21, 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Location: Dauphin’s Restaurant, RSA Trustmark Building 107 St Francis St, Mobile

Brunch tickets are $45 for children, $65 for adults. Seating is limited.
