What’s something you wish more people talked about? Hope.

What were the two biggest choices that got you to where you are today? Joining the US Army and obtaining a graduate degree in Marriage and Family Therapy along with Project Management.

What is one thing you wish you had more time to do? Play golf and read.

What’s the hardest part about working from home for you? Distractions.

What are the best qualities you think you inherited from your parents? Tenacity.

Podcasts or music while driving? Depends on the day.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given? Depression lives in the past, anxiety lives in the future, peace lives in the present. The present is all you have any hope of controlling.

The pandemic is officially over and you can have one free ticket to anywhere in the world. Where are you going? Scotland.

What has been the highlight of your past year? The birth of my first grandchild!

What are two things you never leave the house without? Sunglasses and my pen.

What is your favorite Olympic event? Speed skating (Winter) 200m sprint (Summer).

What is “your” song? The River-Garth Brooks.

What occupation other than your own would you like to try? Motorcycle cop (dream job since childhood).

What is one rule you live by? Try to be a little bit better today than I was yesterday.

What national/international event had the most impact on your life? I experienced a lot while serving in the military.

What sports did you play growing up? Baseball, football and basketball.

What do you collect? Guitars and drums.

What are you most excited about for the future? Watching my grandson grow up and being a part of his life.

 

Brief Company Description: The Shoulder is a substance abuse treatment services organization started in 1988. “The Shoulder’s mission is to restore individuals and their families who are affected by alcohol and drug abuse by providing quality, affordable treatment in a safe, secure Christian environment.” They currently have a capacity of 82 beds which includes a 42-bed facility for women in Mobile, and a 40-bed facility for men in Spanish Fort. The Shoulder provides treatment and fosters hope and healing for clients in their care. Their programs are designed to assist clients with integration into work, family and community life as they learn the lessons and obtain the tools they need to maintain long-term recovery.
