MOBILE, Ala. – Get ready to spice up your summer with Mobile Ballet at the much-anticipated Summer Salsa Night! Scheduled for Sunday, July 28, 2024, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., this exciting event promises a vibrant evening of culinary delights and electrifying salsa dancing, at two iconic venues in downtown Mobile.

The adventure begins atop Mobile’s skyline at Dauphin’s, recently named “Most Beautiful Restaurant in Alabama” by MSN. From the 34th floor, guests will be treated to panoramic views of Mobile Bay and the surrounding area while savoring exquisite Latin-inspired cuisine and curated wine tastings.

As the evening unfolds, the party continues with craft cocktails and decadent desserts at Las Floriditas, the renowned Cuban speakeasy nestled in the vault of the RSA Trustmark Building. Here, the rhythm takes over with live music from local favorite Alvin King and the Fifth K’Nection Jazz Band.

Mobile Ballet’s dynamic artistic duo, Israel Rodriguez and Katia Garza, will lead exhilarating salsa lessons for guests of all skill levels. Their expert guidance ensures everyone, from novice to experienced, will master new moves with flair and confidence. The night peaks with a lively dance contest and captivating performances, for an unparalleled blend of excitement and elegance in the heart of Mobile.

“Our aim with Summer Salsa Night is to not only kick off Mobile Ballet’s 2024-2025 Season in style but also to provide an unforgettable experience of dance, food, fun, and community spirit” said Garza, Mobile Ballet’s Artistic Director, emphasizing the event’s role as a fundraiser for specialized outreach, education, and instruction.

Their generous commitment has made this event possible, with all proceeds dedicated to benefiting Mobile Ballet.
