JACKSON, Miss.Neel-Schaffer is pleased to announce the promotion of four company leaders to the position of Vice President:

Mike Phillips, PE, CFM

H&H Technical Leader

Mike joined Neel-Schaffer in 2000 and serves as Hydrology and Hydraulics Technical Leader for the firm. Based in the Nashville office, he is a Certified Floodplain Manager and has led many major projects for the Departments of Transportation in Tennessee and Georgia. Mike has also played major roles in the support of numerous large H&H projects across the East Region and the company.

Jennifer Peace, PE, DBIA

Senior Project Manager

Based in the Birmingham office, Jennifer joined the firm in 2008 and has had significant design and management roles in multiple large transportation projects across the Southeast. She holds DBIA certification through the Design-Build Institute of America, and she is a significant component of Neel-Schaffer’s team that began work in earnest last week on what the Alabama Department of Transportation is billing as the most expensive project in state history, the $800 million, design-build West Alabama Highway project.

“I am very excited to announce that Mike and Jennifer are now Vice Presidents because both have been leaders in the East Region and across the company for many years,” said Chris Sellers, PE, Executive Vice President for the firm’s East Region. “Their work ethic and attention to detail has provided our clients with the very best in design and management.”

Kyle Eidson, PE

Senior Project Manager

Kyle joined Neel-Schaffer in 2004 as a Transportation Engineer and swiftly became the Central Region’s technical leader for Roadway Design. Based in the Brandon (MS) office, he mentors the Central Region designers, manages the implementation of OpenRoads Designer software, promotes effective work sharing, and ensures uniformity in plan development for our Mississippi and Arkansas Department of Transportation projects.

Alex Davis, PE

Engineer Manager

Alex joined the firm in 2017 and rapidly advanced to Engineer Manager. He currently oversees the Hancock County office in Mississippi, serves as the State Aid County Engineer for Hancock County, and acts as the local client liaison for the Gulfport-Biloxi International, Trent Lott International, and Stennis International airports, plus other local government agencies.

“I commend Kyle for the transition he has made to technical leader and mentor,” said Melinda McGrath, PE, Executive VP for the Central Region. “He has set a high bar with his meticulous attention to detail and adherence to guidelines and standards. I also want to applaud Alex for his quick development as a client manager. He has taken a true leadership role on the Gulf Coast.”
