The Mobile Chamber Economic Development team recently unveiled final numbers from the first year of a five-year plan to create jobs and support a strong workforce in Mobile called Partners for Growth V.

Partners for Growth is a coalition of public and private investors who fund economic growth through the Mobile Chamber, the economic developer for the City of Mobile and Mobile County. Partners for Growth investments create prosperity and growth for local businesses and residents, building a better Mobile.

Job Numbers:
The Mobile Chamber Economic Development team announced more than 2000 new jobs from 13 projects in the year 2023.

In the first year of the PFG Campaign, our economic development projects have reached 80% of the five-year job numbers goal.

Capital Investment:
Those announcements account for $590 million dollars in capital investment, 39% of the five-year goal.

Average Salary:
Those 2,000 jobs have an average salary of $64,000 exceeding the PFG V salary goal of $62,500.

What’s next: 2024 is looking promising as well with 40 projects in the pipeline.
