MOBILE, Ala. (Nov. 4, 2026) – Mobile Ballet’s holiday shopping fundraiser returns with a new name for 2026. The Nutcracker Shopping Card, formerly the Nutcracker Savings Card, is back for its third year. From November 7-16, cardholders get 20% off at more than 50 local retailers across Mobile and Baldwin counties.

With a name inspired by the season’s best-known ballet, the Nutcracker Shopping Card gives shoppers a chance to save on holiday gifts, a reason to shop local and keep their dollars close to home, and a way to support Mobile Ballet beyond the theater.

The card is a $50 digital purchase through the Mobile Ballet website. Cardholders show it at checkout at any participating retail partner throughout the Mobile Bay area. The list of retailers and any discount restrictions is posted online, so shoppers can plan ahead and unlock exclusive discounts. Cardholders can potentially save hundreds of dollars while directly supporting local businesses and the arts.

“Our goal was a holiday concept both retailers and shoppers would love,” said Edie Terreson, Mobile Ballet board treasurer and Nutcracker Shopping Card program chair. “The card supports local business during this crucial early holiday shopping season, and it supports our year-round arts programs, too.”

Proceeds from card sales benefit Mobile Ballet’s public performances, community outreach programs and scholarships for young dancers.

To buy a card and see the full list of participating retailers, visit www.mobileballet.org/nutcracker-shopping-card. Participating stores will also post a QR code to purchase the Shopping Card on-site prior to checkout. Shopping dates are Nov. 7-16.
